We offer a preschool program for children ages 3-5 years and a childcare program for children as early as 6 weeks of age through preschool-age.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • To offer a developmentally appropriate program that meets the emotional, physical, intellectual, and social needs of both the individual child and the group.
  • To include one's whole self to interact with the children and to encourage their involvement in activities. Activities are designed to develop self-esteem, build relationships, and encourage safe expression of feelings.
  • To prepare a warm and safe environment that is orderly, clean and appealing, and encourages the child to grow, wonder and explore.
  • To plan weekly lesson plans based on a curriculum outline using The Creative Curriculum through SmartTeach (online).
  • To establish and maintain healthy, consistent communications with parents on a routine informal basis, as well as during bi-annual Parent Conferences.
  • To observe, record, and report significant individual and group behavior.
  • To use Conscious Discipline techniques that are consistent.
  • To keep staff informed of program goals and developments with children, parents, and Administration.
  • To attend mandatory monthly staff meetings and partake in any necessary trainings required per Preschool Promise, ODJFS/Step Up to Quality, etc.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • A four-year degree in Education or related field, OR two-year degree in Early Childhood or related field, OR CDA certificate,
  • Ability to relate joyfully and sensitively to children,
  • Evidence of emotional maturity and stability,
  • Evidence of sufficient security and judgment to handle crisis situations and to use supervision constructively,
  • Have mobility, strength, flexibility within the classroom and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Lead Toddler Teacher
Christ Church Preschool-Childcare is looking to hire a friendly Lead Teacher for our toddler-age classroom. The candidate must bring warmth, kindliness, and willingness to take lead in the classroom while working alongside co-teachers. The candidate must be energetic, empathetic, reliable, knowledgeable and have a passion for helping young children learn and grow. The Lead Teacher is expected to communicate well with children, parents, families, teachers and staff.

Responsibilities of the Lead Toddler Teacher include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • maintaining a safe and healthy learning environment,
  • creating weekly lesson plans,
  • observing and documenting children's development,
  • providing quality care and comfort for our toddler-aged children,
  • coordinating daily routines and experiences,
  • introducing age-appropriate structure in preparation for preschool,
  • assisting with toilet training and diapering.

The candidate is required to keep up with proper training hours required by the State of Ohio and Step Up to Quality.

Requirements

  • Minimum of CDA or Associate Degree in Early Childhood (OR Related)
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in childcare
  • Must pass FBI/BCI background check
  • Must pass work physical, able to lift up to 50lbs., must have mobility/flexibility within classroom

Childcare Teacher
Our center is looking to hire a full or part time teacher. The candidate must bring warmth and friendliness to the environment and must work as a team member alongside their co-teachers. The candidate will act as an Assistant Teacher alongside the Lead Teacher and another Assistant Teacher. The candidate must be reliable and energetic, empathetic, knowledgeable and have a passion for helping young children learn and grow! The person holding this position is expected to communicate well with their team, children, parents and families, teachers and staff.

The caregiver shall assist all children through daily routines and experiences, assist with implementing activities, maintain a safe and healthy learning environment, document children's development. The caregiver should strive to provide quality care and comfort for our children. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Bottle feeding and assisting with meals,
  • Diaper changes,
  • Completing Daily Report sheets,
  • Providing comfort for nap times,
  • Documenting observations through note-taking,
  • Implementation of lesson plans,
  • Keeping up with proper training and workshop hours required by the State of Ohio and Step Up to Quality.

Requirements

  • Minimum of High School Diploma or Higher
  • Minimum of 2 years professional experience in childcare
  • Must pass FBI/BCI background check
  • Must pass work physical and able to lift up to 50lbs.; must be physically fit to perform duties and responsibilities
  • Must have reliable transportation to/from job site


Infant Teacher
Our center is looking to hire a full-time teacher/caregiver for our Infant Room. The candidate must bring warmth and friendliness to the environment and must work as a team member alongside their co-teachers. The candidate must be reliable and energetic, empathetic, knowledgeable and have a passion for helping young children learn and grow! The person holding this position is expected to communicate well with their team, children, parents and families, teachers and staff.
